Despite heavy testing this release may still contain unexpected issues or bugs, please ensure you have backed up your wallet data file before upgrading for recovery later just in case. If you do encounter any issues please report them to the Core developers via their github issues page.

Litecoin Core is the most popular full node implementation of the cryptocurrency Litecoin (LTC) and comprises the majority of the network nodes that dictate how Litecoin works and functions. Core follows the improvements made in Bitcoin and has previously tested out mainnet functions first on Litecoin which has helped lead the way for new developments on both networks.

Core is comprised mostly of volunteers and anyone who wants to get involved in developing for Core is free to join by reaching out and proposing/making improvements to the codebase.

Disclaimer is not directly associated with Core, although our operator Franklyn Richards is a director of the Litecoin Foundation which directly supports and funds development of Core team members ‘Adrian Gallagher’ and ‘Losh11’ for their work on the protocol.
